Welcoming The Daily Telegraph Commercial Sports Editor Jim Bruce-Ball To Our Team.

We are delighted to welcome Jim Bruce-Ball as a contributing editor at Sportside. Jim is a director of Sportside and is now Commercial Sports Editor at The Daily Telegraph, having worked on the editorial side at the newspaper for 15 years.

Jim started as a sports reporter for The Telegraph, covering Premier League football and major international tournaments, Wimbledon, The Open, the Olympics and Commonwealth Games.

He was responsible for signing Jose Mourinho as a fantasy football columnist for the Telegraph Media Group and, as he rose to the position of sports editor, worked closely with some of the biggest names in sport and sports journalism including Henry Winter, Mike Atherton and Will Greenwood.

He left The Telegraph to become Head of Communications and Content at Professional Sports group and has also looked after Harlequins Rugby Club communications for the 2018-19 season, working with England internationals Kyle Sinckler, Joe Marler, Danny Care, Chris Robshaw and Mike Brown.

Jim returned to the Telegraph last year to edit their sports commercial content, working with major sporting talent like Jadon Sancho, Judy Murray and Chris Ashton and major brands such as Red Bull, IBM, Head & Shoulders, Peugeot and Skoda to produce award-winning commercial sports content.  

Jim will be contributing a weekly blog post around the sporting issues of the day and what relevance they have to Sportside.
