Teaching people how to dance via online dance tutorials, specialising in iconic dance moves as well as full, formalised dances Bao Tran has saved the dignity of thousands of people venturing onto the dancefloor.

“Dancing is fun and liberating, and that’s of course something I love sharing with other people,” he says, “But the most satisfying part about my job is when my viewers tell me that they just mastered a dance they thought was impossible. I’ve always been a big believer of “you can achieve anything you put your mind to”, and I’m helping people realise that little by little, dance move by dance move. This is something I’m super proud of and is what keeps me motivated to do what I do.”

Including tutorials on popular dance moves like the Moonwalk, the Charleston (Wiggle Walk) and the Running Man, Bao also covers full dances that are popular. This includes all trending dance challenges e.g. the TikTok Renegade dance, the Fortnite Orange Justice dance, the Howard the Alien dance and more.

Bao is currently working on a dance course “Pop Dance Bootcamp” that will be released mid-July, and he plans to do more of those because he believes he can provide much more value in these courses. According to him, in a YouTube tutorial he can’t really go in depth in the same way because it’s a different type of audience. This will not affect the tutorials that his YouTube Channel has become famous for.

As far as role models are concerned, Bao gets his inspiration from a man well known for his dancing ability. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“He’s the living proof that you can achieve anything you put your mind to,” he explains, “His work ethic is incredible, and his achievements are amazing. He’s an accomplished bodybuilder champion, iconic actor, a senator and family man.”
