Read all about it -Today, we’re so pleased to announce that we’ve appointed sports PR agency MatchFit to help us spread the Sportside word! The agency will initially lead on communications ahead of the Sportside app launch this autumn, our new one-stop platform which enables people to “connect and play” across an initial 20 sports.
Led by co-founders Donald Parish and Will Mitchell, the pair combined their decade of sports industry experience to launch MatchFit in January 2019, using the power of sport as a force for good to tell inspiring stories. In January, they were identified by PR Week as one of ’11 New Agencies to Watch in 2020’, while they are currently shortlisted in the ‘Agency of the Year’ category in the upcoming UK Sponsorship Awards 2020.
In February, MatchFit helped The FA kick-off the journey to the UEFA Women’s EURO 2021, celebrating the ‘500 Days to Go’ milestone with a media launch at Wembley Stadium. Recently in May, MatchFit was retained by LiveScore, the real-time sports updates provider, to lead on all communications activity including its thriving free-to-air OTT football live streaming platform, and sponsorship activation for the brand’s sponsorship with LaLiga in Spain.
Donald and Will are both hugely enthusiastic amateur sportspeople who truly appreciate the social and physical benefits that sport has brought their lives. A talented Norfolk county squash player in his youth, Will can currently be seen pulling the strings (or trying to) for Salhouse Rovers FC in the local Norfolk Sunday Leagues. A keen former footballer and cricketer, Donald can now frequently be found on his local golf course, recently achieving his life-long quest for a single-figure handicap (albeit fleetingly).
